Fall 2014
光泉 Space – Lucie Fontaine’s Tokyo satellite – is happy to present Moon (Almost Full Moon 8-12-11) 2011, a painting by Ann Craven. Displayed in a specific area of光泉 Space called “tokonoma,” this painting serves two causes: the first is to celebrate “otsukimi” (お月見) the season of moon-viewing; the second is to honor the work of Ann Craven, a very dear artist to Lucie Fontaine.
光泉 Space is open only by appointment and invites artists to present their work in its “tokonoma” [床の間], which is a niche, a built-in recessed space – located in the tatami room of a Japanese traditional private residence – in which items for artistic appreciation are traditionally displayed. The next work will be presented in the winter.
